Emma Hassell has had an outstanding year in South African equestrian competitions, earning Gauteng regional colours for Equitation and Prix Caprilli, provincial school colours for Equestrian, and being named Victor Ludorum for High School Prix Caprilli Level 5 in her debut year in the discipline. Since starting riding in 2020, Emma has developed a strong partnership with her thoroughbred horse, Maverick’s Magic, which has been instrumental in her success. She values the challenge of Prix Caprilli for combining dressage and jumping and looks forward to advancing to higher jumping levels next year.

Emma’s mother, Debbi, highlights the dedication and perseverance required to train a young horse from scratch and praises the life lessons Emma has gained through riding, including patience, responsibility, and hard work.
