Emily Beisel, ranked No. 3 globally entering the 2025 National Finals rodeo (NFR), has built a versatile and successful barrel racing career without a rodeo family background. Starting from grassroots programs like 4-H and collegiate competition, she has qualified for seven consecutive NFRs (2019–2025) and earned over $1.6 million in WPRA earnings. Beisel’s approach is defined by adaptability, managing a string of top horses each suited to different conditions—from the reliable Foxy to the tough Beau, the signature Chongo, and the confident Chewy. Her ability to tailor her horsemanship to each horse’s unique style has been key to her consistent success and round wins at major rodeos.
Beyond rodeo, Beisel balances her athletic career with a professional life as a registered dental hygienist, reflecting her grounded and multifaceted approach to life and sport. She credits her steady climb and diverse experiences for shaping her program and mindset. Married in 2020, Beisel continues to develop her program with horses she trusts, proving that a career built on versatility, careful management, and personal dedication can thrive at the highest levels of ProRodeo barrel racing.
