Elsie England won the top purple ribbon at the Otoe County 4-H Horse Show costume contest with her horse Blaze dressed in a creative road construction-themed outfit. The costume featured road barricades, flashers, road signs, and even a hard hat, impressing judge Corrane Moss, who praised the horse’s tolerance and the uniqueness of the design.

England explained that while the idea was inspired by something they saw, she added many original elements to the costume. Despite Blaze’s usual dislike for wearing things, he carried the elaborate outfit well, making the presentation a standout at the event.
