Braelynn Woolheater, a 14-year-old sophomore at Elizabeth Forward High School and avid barrel racer, tragically passed away after a horse riding accident on September 15 left her in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries, prompting an outpouring of support from the community under the hashtag #BraelynnStrong. Her family has made the courageous decision to donate her organs, hoping to continue her legacy of love and generosity.

The Elizabeth Forward School District expressed deep condolences and offered counseling support to students and staff during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements are being managed by Gilbert Funeral Home, with visitation and services scheduled for the coming weekend. A memorial trust has been established in Braelynn’s honor, and a fundraiser has raised over $17,700 to assist with funeral expenses and to support a foundation created in her memory.
