Eddie Vedder Terrified During Horseback Ride with Bruce Springsteen

Eddie Vedder, the lead singer of Pearl Jam, revealed on The Howard Stern Show that despite his long friendship with Bruce Springsteen, a recent horseback riding outing with the rock legend left him genuinely scared. Vedder, who is already terrified of horses, tried to mask his fear during the ride with Springsteen and their wives, but his horse unexpectedly bolted off the trail into a forested area, forcing Vedder to struggle to stay on and figure out where to jump off safely.

Fortunately, Vedder was unharmed, and Springsteen praised his horsemanship for not getting hurt during the ordeal. The experience was a rare moment of vulnerability for Vedder, who admitted that his usual tactic of hiding fear didn’t work this time. Howard Stern humorously suggested Vedder visit him instead, where horses wouldn’t be an issue.
