The 2025 Oregon State Fair showcased outstanding performances from Union and Malheur County 4H and FFA members, particularly in equine competitions. Union County 4H participants excelled with multiple first-place finishes and medallions, including Abrianna Meeks, who earned top honors in several categories during her first state fair. Experienced competitors Keelie Jones, Reese Feldhaus, and Briella Feldhaus also secured top rankings, with Keelie concluding her final year on a high note. Their achievements were supported by dedicated local 4H groups, Rhythm Riders and Latte Sippin Lopers.
FFA members from the region also delivered exceptional results. Keelie Jones of Union FFA earned several high placements, including Reserve Champion in Division II Showmanship, while Brooke Eckstein of Elgin FFA and Azure Porter of Ontario FFA achieved top honors in various categories, with Porter securing multiple high-point awards and Champion Showman. Additionally, the Imbler FFA chapter placed second overall in Livestock Evaluation, with Josephine Bingaman winning top awards in rabbit exhibitions. These accomplishments highlight the strong talent and dedication of Eastern Oregon youth in agricultural competitions.
