The $12 million Dubai World Cup and three other group 1 races at Meydan Racecourse on April 5 will now serve as automatic qualifiers for the 2025 Breeders’ Cup World Championships through the Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series. The Dubai World Cup will provide complimentary entry into the $7 million Breeders’ Cup Classic.
The Dubai Golden Shaheen, Dubai Sheema Classic, and Dubai Turf have also been added to the Challenge Series schedule, serving as qualifiers for the Breeders’ Cup Sprint, Turf, and Mile, respectively. Horses from around the world will qualify for the 42nd running of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships through the Win and You’re In program.
The winners of the Breeders’ Cup Classic, Sprint, Turf, and Mile will receive automatic starting positions and free entry into corresponding races at the Dubai World Cup meeting the following year. This partnership between Breeders’ Cup and the Dubai Racing Club aims to reward international contenders and promote global unification in horse racing.
