Dubai Police’s therapeutic horse riding programme, managed by the Mounted Police Station, has benefited 765 individuals, including children of determination, by providing effective equine therapy that aids physical rehabilitation and psychological well-being. The programme, supported by qualified staff and specially trained horses, has achieved a 100% satisfaction rate among parents and guardians. It is part of broader initiatives by the Equestrian School, such as the Smart stable project, which integrates advanced technologies in horse care and management.
During an inspection by Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, the programme’s success and the Mounted Police’s broader role in community safety were highlighted. Mounted patrols contribute to public security by monitoring traffic, securing events, and conducting security campaigns. The Mounted Police Station also boasts high job happiness and training rates, physical readiness, and has earned the Gold “Wosool” accessibility certification, ensuring full accommodation for people of determination.
