Dubai has launched its first sand equestrian track in Hatta, a 2.54-kilometer-long and 3-meter-wide trail designed to offer both amateur and professional horse riders a safe and scenic experience amidst the region’s mountainous landscape. This facility meets international safety and quality standards and allows visitors to either bring their own horses or rent locally, enhancing Hatta’s appeal as a unique destination for outdoor adventure and equine tourism. The initiative aligns with Dubai’s broader goals of tourism diversification, sustainable development, and preserving Emirati cultural heritage related to horsemanship.
Beyond tourism, the equestrian track is expected to stimulate local economic growth by creating opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises in sectors such as equestrian sports, hospitality, retail, and tourism services. The project promotes eco-friendly leisure activities while supporting the preservation of the natural environment, contributing to a sustainable tourism model. By attracting both local and international visitors, the track strengthens Hatta’s position as a premier tourism hub in the UAE, fostering economic development and enhancing Dubai’s global reputation for high-quality leisure and sports tourism.
