Dreams Go On Inc.: Providing Therapeutic Horseback Riding and Community Support in Blair County

Dreams Go On Inc., originally founded as High Hopes Inc. over 20 years ago, is a therapeutic horseback riding nonprofit serving children and adults with physical, emotional, or behavioral challenges in Blair County. Staffed by eight part-time certified instructors and supported by volunteers, the organization offers a range of programs including therapeutic riding sessions, private lessons, horse socialization, camps, field trips, and horse training and boarding. Their approach integrates physical and mental health benefits through interaction with horses.

The nonprofit is expanding its facilities with a new barn set to open in spring, enabling them to broaden their services. They also host several fundraising events throughout the year, such as the Dream Derby and the Lehman Engineers Trail Ride & Walk, and actively seek volunteers aged 16 and older to support their mission. More information can be found on their website, DreamsGoOn.com, or by contacting program manager Debbie Kelly.
