Dreams Go On Inc. Barn Construction Progressing, Move-In Expected by May 2026

Dreams Go On Inc., a nonprofit organization providing horseback riding therapy for individuals with physical and emotional challenges, is nearing completion of its new barn, expected to be ready for occupancy by May 2026. The barn, featuring gray walls and a bright blue roof, is being constructed by Frontier Construction and Lawruk Builders, with work progressing well despite some additional costs related to firewalls, plumbing, and electricity. The facility will include 12 horse stalls, an indoor arena, observation room, office, and outdoor riding areas, enhancing the program’s capacity to serve more participants and reduce its long waitlist.

Director Debbie Kelly and Vice President Tracy Pellegreino expressed optimism about the project, highlighting the benefits of having a dedicated space at 206 Dream Road, Turkey Valley Road. The new barn will enable Dreams Go On to expand its offerings, including a daytime therapeutic program, and better support its riders, staff, and horses. The organization, recognized as the Altoona Mirror’s Season of Sharing recipient, welcomes community support and donations to help complete the project and continue its mission.
