Dorset Police’s rural crime team arrested two individuals for burglary, theft, and attempted theft related to stolen horse tack in the county. The arrests were made in Bournemouth on April 1, with one of the occupants also facing charges for failing to appear in court.
Following the arrests, post-arrest searches were conducted by the rural crime team and Bournemouth North neighbourhood policing officers. The vehicle suspected to be used in the offences was seized, and the stolen horse tack was recovered and will be returned to its rightful owners.
The stolen horse tack was taken from various locations in Dorset over the weekend of March 22 and March 23. Both individuals arrested were interviewed and bailed as investigations into the crimes continue.
