The Dixie National rodeo, set for February, will be preceded by a series of livestock and equine shows starting in early January, including the Southern Cutting Horse Futurity from January 2-4 at the Kirk Fordice Equine Center in Jackson. These events, which also feature the Dixie National Junior Round-Up and agricultural expos, celebrate Americana and the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The rodeo itself, held at the Mississippi Coliseum from February 13-15 and 18-21, is the largest east of the Mississippi River and draws top competitors from around the world.
In addition to the rodeo competitions, the event will showcase a diverse entertainment lineup with performances by notable country and southern rock artists such as Joe Nichols, Tanya Tucker, and Mark Chesnutt. Tickets are available online and at the coliseum box office, with more details and schedules accessible through the official Dixie National website.
