Cacapon Resort State Park Lodge in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, recently reopened after a major renovation that expanded its guest rooms from 42 to 120 and added new amenities including the Prospects Restaurant, an outdoor terrace with fireplace, indoor pool, and Healing Waters Spa. The resort offers a variety of outdoor activities such as an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones golf course, fishing, horseback riding, clay shooting, tennis, basketball, and hiking on well-marked trails, some guided by naturalists. A $3.5 million federal grant is funding the addition of 35 new mountain biking trails, with half already open and full completion expected by 2026.
Indoor features include a full-service spa, fitness center, cozy lounges, and a library with books and board games. Guest rooms are available in the North Lodge, South Lodge, suites, and ADA accessible options, all equipped with mini-fridges, coffee makers, and scenic views.
