Devon had a successful day at Exeter Racecourse during the annual Devon Air Ambulance raceday, with two locally trained horses winning key races. Tenter Le Tout, a three-year-old filly trained by Chester Williams, won the South West Rail Solutions EBF National Hunt Hurdle, finishing two and a half lengths ahead of runner-up Mwabani, trained by Williams’ mother Jane. Meanwhile, Square Du Roule, trained by Nigel Hawke near Tiverton, claimed victory in the Stag Environmental Polaris Dealer Devon, Somerset Handicap Hurdle. Jockey Harry Cobden had a standout day, securing three wins including Tashan’s narrow victory in another race.
The event also featured notable wins from Blenkinsop, overcoming a previous injury, and rising jockey Alice Stevens on Luttreel Lad. The raceday successfully raised funds for the Devon Air Ambulance charity, founded by Ann Ralli after a personal tragedy highlighted the need for emergency medical services. Exeter Racecourse will next host its Elf Raceday on December 5, supporting the Exeter Leukaemia Fund, with festive-themed incentives for attendees.
