Daniel Bluman secured a decisive victory in the $63,000 Stars & Stripes Speed Stake at the 2025 WIHS riding Gemma W, completing the course fault-free in 54.98 seconds—nearly two seconds faster than the runner-up. Gemma W, a 14-year-old KWPN mare, has transitioned from grand prix level to competing primarily in 1.50m-1.55m classes, where she has consistently placed in the top five. Bluman emphasized the importance of adapting to his horse’s strengths, ensuring Gemma remains competitive and valued.
The WIHS event continues with junior hunter and amateur show jumping competitions, culminating in evening entertainment including the $63,000 FEI Accumulator Costume class and the WIHS Shetland Pony Steeplechase.
