Dan Kreitl and Carmango Lead TerraNova CCI4-S Dressage as Lauren Nicholson Tops CCI3-S

At the TerraNova event in Myakka City, Florida, Dan Kreitl and his 13-year-old Westphalian gelding Carmango took the lead in the CCI4-S dressage phase with a score of 21.0. Kreitl, a real estate agent from Indiana, has partnered with Carmango since the horse was four and is preparing for the Land Rover Kentucky CCI4-S in April. Despite a past injury, Carmango has returned to competition with strong performances, and Kreitl anticipates the cross-country phase to be challenging but exciting. Other top competitors in the CCI4*-S included Monica Spencer and Artist, who scored 21.3, and Canadian Olympian Colleen Loach.

In the CCI3*-S division, Lauren Nicholson leads with her 9-year-old Selle Francais gelding How Easy GG, scoring 28.7. Nicholson praised the excellent footing at TerraNova and is carefully planning How Easy GG’s progression to higher levels. Mia Farley and her Hanoverian mare Pina Colada 28 hold second place, while Dani Sussman and Colleen Loach also rank highly in this competitive field. The event features international riders across multiple levels, free spectator admission, and livestreaming options, continuing through Sunday with various activities for attendees.
