The Dallas County Fair in Adel is set to open tomorrow, featuring a variety of 4H activities. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Youth Coordinator Annie Schlieman outlined the animal check-in schedule, with swine arriving from 6-8am, Clover Kids Bottle Animals and Sheep and Goats from 8-10am, Beef and Bucket Calf from 8-11am, and horses, rabbits, and poultry from 10am-noon.

A highlight of the day is the 4H Family BBQ hosted by the Cattlemen’s and Pork Producers, taking place from 5:30-7pm at the Entertainment Plaza. Additionally, Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will broadcast live on site from 1-6pm, adding to the day’s festivities.
