Kristen Gonsoir’s lifelong dream of raising and showing an American Quarter Horse champion was realized with the birth of Daddys Legacy, a colt bred from her mare Sue Bee Pat and stallion Skip Legacy. Named in honor of her late father, who passed away shortly after the foal’s birth, Daddys Legacy became a successful show horse, earning an AQHA open championship and excelling in various events such as trail riding and cattle sorting. His legacy lives on through his 76 foals, many of whom have earned performance records and continue to compete nationwide, reflecting Kristen’s dedication to breeding quality horses.

Despite personal challenges, including her husband Tim’s paralysis from a 2021 accident, Kristen remains deeply involved in the horse community. She continues to breed and train horses, including Daddys Legacy’s promising daughter PS Hallelujah Daddy, while balancing family life and her teaching career. Kristen finds solace and purpose in her barn work and judging at horse shows, cherishing the ongoing impact of Daddys Legacy’s bloodline in the equestrian world.
