Cyprus Special Olympics Equestrian Team Wins Five Medals at Panhellenic Games

The Cyprus Special Olympics Federation has praised its equestrian team for their exceptional achievements at the Panhellenic Equestrian Games, where athletes Danae Dimitrova, Mary Tsiolakki, and Anastasios Andreou collectively won five medals—two gold, two silver, and one bronze—in dressage and English Equitation events. Their success reflects the athletes’ dedication and skill, bringing significant pride to Cyprus.

The Federation noted that the inclusion of equestrian sports in the Special Olympics Cyprus program just three years ago is already yielding impressive results. This rapid progress underscores the value of strategic long-term planning, athlete development, and the promotion of inclusive sports opportunities, signaling a promising future for the discipline within the Special Olympics movement.
