Crimson Desert Horse Guide: Taming, Registering, Leveling, and Selling Mounts

In Crimson Desert, players start with a free horse but can find, tame, and register many more wild and owned horses throughout the world of Pywell. Taming involves approaching wild horses stealthily or using treats to calm them, followed by a minigame to fully bond. Once tamed, horses can be registered at stables, allowing players to recall, swap, equip, and level them up. Horses come in different breeds with unique stats and skills that improve as trust levels increase, unlocking abilities like sprinting, double jumping, and swimming.

Players can equip horses with saddles, horseshoes, stirrups, champrons, and barding to boost health, stamina, attack, and defense. Horses can be healed using food, tonics, or stable services, and players can even use a healing technique learned later in the game. While owned horses can be stolen using a Bandit’s Mask and sold to a specific fence north of Hernand Town, the profit is minimal, making taming wild horses a more rewarding option for travel and combat support.
