Coyle Clinches Victory at Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows Grand Prix

The Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows, a key event in the American hunter-jumper circuit, features competitions for riders of all ages and skill levels. The event spans two weeks, with Week 1 rated USEF ‘National-6’ and designated FEI CSI3, while Week 2 is rated USEF ‘Premier-6’ and designated FEI CSI4.

In the $135,000 Old Salem Farm Grand Prix, course designer Alan Wade created a challenging 16-effort course at 1.55m, leading to a competitive jump-off. Adrienne Sternlicht initially set the pace at 38.74 seconds, but Coyle surpassed her with a time of 34.67 seconds on his Dutch Warmblood mare, showcasing a strategy of allowing the horse to run freely. Fellow competitors Darragh Kenny and Philip McGuane also performed well but could not match Coyle’s speed.

Kenny secured second and third places with his mounts, while McGuane and Sternlicht rounded out the top five. Coyle expressed pride in his horse, Keep Me With You N.C., highlighting her potential and future plans for training and competition.
