The North Dakota Horse Park added a fun twist to its usual horse races by hosting corgi races during intermissions, drawing significant attention from spectators and dog lovers. Organized by Northern Corgis, the event featured adorable pups racing on the track, with the first heat won by a corgi named Nova. The races have become a popular attraction, sometimes even overshadowing the horse races themselves, thanks to the corgis’ energetic and friendly personalities.

In addition to providing entertainment, the event also promoted dog adoption, with 4 Luv of Dog showcasing adoptable pups at the venue. The excitement around corgi racing will continue this summer, with an upcoming event on August 23 where corgis will compete against wiener dogs in a “short leg breed battle” to determine the fastest among them.
