The Mane Event: A Sip and Shop for Special Equestrians, held on November 2 at Whispering Manes Therapeutic Riding Center in Miami, brought together South Florida’s philanthropic and equestrian communities to support therapeutic riding programs for individuals with special needs. At the event, John Harris, Managing Director of Coral Gables Trust and board member of Whispering Manes, presented a generous donation from the Holloway Family Trust Foundation to help fund equine-assisted therapy programs. The event featured boutique shopping, a riding demonstration, a fashion show, and a silent auction, with proceeds supporting scholarships and facility improvements for individuals with disabilities such as autism, PTSD, and Down syndrome.
Now in its ninth year, The Mane Event has become a beloved Miami tradition celebrating community and compassion. Coral Gables Trust, a leading South Florida wealth management firm, emphasized its commitment to supporting nonprofits that strengthen the community. Whispering Manes, a nonprofit offering therapeutic horseback riding led by certified professionals, continues to expand its life-enhancing programs thanks to the generosity of sponsors like Coral Gables Trust, enabling it to serve hundreds of riders and their families in a safe, nurturing environment.
