The Province is allowing horseback riding on the Confederation Trail from July 1st to October 31st, with access available in Prince County, Queens County, and Kings County. Riding is permitted from 30 minutes after sunrise until 30 minutes before sunset.

While the trail is generally suitable for riding during summer due to its gravel and dry earth surface, the Province advises against horseback riding after heavy rain. Additionally, trails will be closed to equestrians following extreme weather events to protect the trail from damage.
