The Cloverbuds 4-H group, consisting of children ages 5-8 in kindergarten through second grade, recently attended a horse camp at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Smithfield with a Candyland theme. The camp offered activities such as learning about the Horseless Horse Project from Ohio State University Extension, exploring horse history, participating in team-building exercises, and taking on leadership roles.
Participants also joined junior leaders and camp counselors to sing 4-H songs and complete an obstacle course. Those interested in joining Cloverbuds or the 4-H group for ages 8-9 in third grade can contact the local office at (740) 264-2212.
