The Clearfield County Fair held its annual 4-H/FFA awards ceremony on July 18, recognizing the hard work of youth aged 8 to 21 who raised livestock and showcased various agricultural projects. The event, attended by 200 to 300 people, featured trophies, buckles, embroidered coolers, and other prizes to honor the year-long dedication of participants. Awards were given across numerous categories including livestock, vegetables, and showmanship, with standout winners such as Kacey Brothers, Janice Gilliland, and Chloe Pflueger receiving top honors.
The ceremony was supported by numerous local sponsors, whose contributions helped elevate the awards and overall event experience. Chad Brooks of the Clearfield County Livestock Sales Committee emphasized the importance of recognizing the responsibility and effort involved in raising animals, noting that the event is the highlight of the year for many young participants. The collaboration between the sales committee and the fair board aimed to modernize and enhance the recognition given to these youth exhibitors.
