Clark Merrefield is the senior editor for economics and legal systems at The Journalist’s Resource, joining the organization in 2019. His background includes reporting for Newsweek and The Daily Beast, contributing as a researcher and editor on books about the Great Recession, and working as a federal government communications strategist.
Merrefield has been recognized with fellowships focused on juvenile justice and solitary confinement at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and his investigative work has received awards from Investigative Reporters and Editors.
