Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) announced the grand opening of Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming in Calvert City, Kentucky, on February 25, 2026. This 23,000 square foot venue is CDI’s eighth historical horse racing entertainment location in Kentucky and features 225 state-of-the-art historical racing machines, a retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering, and various dining options. The venue will also support purse funding for Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel’s racing meet in Oak Grove, Kentucky.
CDI CEO Bill Carstanjen emphasized that Marshall Yards represents the company’s strategic growth in Southwestern Kentucky, aiming to create destination experiences that boost local economic opportunities, promote regional tourism, and maintain CDI’s leadership in racing and entertainment.
