Christopher Richter, a Fulton County resident who grew up on a North Dakota farm, has a deep passion for horses, particularly quarter horses which he raises and sells nationwide. Alongside his wife Kristen, who is a nursing director, he manages a diverse farm with Dorper sheep, Nubian goats, mules, and horses. The couple actively participates in local horse competitions focused on cattle sorting, roping, and mounted shooting, and they enjoy trail riding vacations in scenic locations like the Black Hills and Bryce Canyon, appreciating the peace and physical benefits horseback riding offers.
Despite the challenges of trusting their animals on narrow trails and encountering wildlife such as bears and wolves, the Richters find joy and satisfaction in the sport. They emphasize the unique lessons each horse or mule provides and hope to pass on their love of horseback riding to their young grandson, Henry, ensuring the tradition continues within their family.
