Charlotte Dujardin Withdraws from 2026 World Cup Final Despite Qualifying Spot

British dressage rider Charlotte Dujardin has withdrawn from the 2026 World Cup Final in Fort Worth, despite securing a spot through her high FEI world ranking and multiple qualifying events. Although a second extra place became available after defending champion Charlotte Fry withdrew, that spot was given to another rider. This season, Dujardin competed successfully with her 12-year-old mare Alive and Kicking, achieving top placements and maintaining ownership of the horse.

The British Equestrian Federation respects Dujardin’s decision to withdraw but has not provided further details, clarifying that her withdrawal is unrelated to recent media reports or animal welfare concerns raised from a video in Amsterdam. No official investigation is currently underway.
