At the Don Diego Scholarship Foundation’s November 20 board meeting, Susan Farrior, a founding member and board trustee, presented a $10,000 donation from the Charity Fair Horse Show, which she leads as inaugural president. The Charity Fair Horse Show, held annually at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and benefiting both Don Diego and the Helen Woodward Animal Center, is a key supporter of the foundation, which will mark its 40th anniversary in 2026.

Chair Kirby Morrison highlighted Farrior’s longstanding community contributions and noted the foundation’s growth, from awarding four $5,000 scholarships annually in its early years to providing $93,500 in scholarships to 25 San Diego County students in 2025. Since 1986, the Don Diego Scholarship Foundation has awarded over $1.5 million to 434 students and supported agriculture education grants for local Title 1 elementary schools, continuing its mission to foster education and community development.
