Four friends—Ruth Ransome, Kath Kay, Julie Corrigan, and Amy Bell—successfully expanded their Charity Combined Training Event, which features show jumping and dressage, to raise funds for the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and Breast Cancer UK. Building on last year’s event that raised over £2,000, this year’s competition held on August 8 at Elms Farm in Caythorpe attracted 35 competitors, included a Bake Off contest won by Jade Wilkinson, and featured a grand raffle with prizes from local businesses.

Thanks to the generosity of participants and supporters, the event raised over £4,400, doubling the previous year’s total. The charities are personally significant to the organizers, with family experiences of breast cancer and use of the air ambulance service. The event’s success highlights strong community support and offers ongoing opportunities for donations via their JustGiving page.
