Central Valley Fire District Rescues Horse Trapped in Creek After Falling from Bridge

The Central Valley Fire District (CVFD) in Belgrade, Montana, successfully rescued a horse named Dream that had fallen from a bridge into a creek, where it was stuck with its head barely above water. Upon arrival, firefighters found veterinarian Emma Peterson already attending to the horse and worked closely with her, the property owner, and neighbors to safely remove Dream from the creek about 40 minutes after the initial call.

After the rescue, Dream was transported to Hardaway Veterinary Clinic for further treatment and is currently recovering. The CVFD emphasized the importance of calling emergency services when encountering large animals in distress rather than attempting a rescue independently to avoid causing additional harm.
