Central Magnolia Horse Show Association: Family-Friendly Riding and Competition in Neshoba County

The Central Magnolia Horse Show Association, established in 1987 in Neshoba County, has for nearly 40 years provided a welcoming, family-friendly environment for riders of all ages and skill levels to compete and enjoy horseback riding. Hosting nine Friday night shows each season at Sunset arena, the association offers both judged and speed events, with riders earning points toward awards like saddles and buckles. The organization emphasizes safety, sportsmanship, and community support, helping participants, especially children, build confidence and camaraderie.

Under the leadership of Justin and Chasity Anderson, the association has grown significantly, increasing membership from fewer than 20 to over 60. As part of the Mississippi Horse Show Association, top riders can qualify for the state championship. The Central Magnolia Horse Show Association continues to focus on providing a positive, inclusive space for riders and families, aiming to expand and enhance its programs and awards in the future.
