Celebrating Agriculture in Kosciusko County: A Taste of Diversity and Fun

The community is invited to attend “A Taste of Agriculture in Kosciusko County: A Family Affair” on April 15 at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. The event will feature locally produced food, games, door prizes, and farm animals to visit, with the goal of providing an educational opportunity for both youth and adults to learn about agriculture in the county.

Visitors can expect to sample a variety of products grown in Kosciusko County, including ice cream, cheese, popcorn, beef, eggs, salsa, and chips. Over 20 different booths representing agriculture in the county will be on display, offering information on beef, dairy, swine, crops, and more. The event, celebrating its 24th anniversary, will also include giveaways of grocery gift certificates and door prizes.

Children can participate in activities such as a 4-H activity corner, a pedal pull hosted by Wawasee FFA, and a scavenger hunt related to agriculture. The event is sponsored by the Kosciusko County Agriculture Awareness Committee, Extension Office, Farm Bureau, County Community Foundation, and supported by the Kosciusko County Community Fair. For more information, contact the Purdue Extension Kosciusko County Office.
