Cayle Leroy McAllister: A Life Dedicated to Horses, Family, and Community

Cayle Leroy McAllister, born April 7, 1936, in Wallace County, Kansas, passed away on October 17, 2025, at age 89. Throughout his life, Cayle pursued various careers, including working with show horses in California, construction and horse show emceeing in Colorado, and later as a semi driver for U-Haul. He was deeply passionate about horses and especially proud of his involvement with the 4H horse program for children. After the passing of his wife Freda in 2018, he moved to Wisconsin to live near his sister, where he continued to stay active by driving Amish community members and enjoying rural life.

Cayle cherished family gatherings, lifelong friendships, and rodeo events, and is survived by his sister, son, stepsons, nieces, nephews, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca in 2022. The family expressed gratitude to the medical staff and funeral home for their compassionate care. Honoring Cayle’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
