Denmark’s Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour and her horse Mount St John Freestyle delivered a commanding performance at the Jyske Bank Boxen arena in Herning, finishing more than 8.5% ahead of Sweden’s Patrik Kittel and Touchdown, the reigning FEI dressage World Cup Final 2024 champion. Laudrup-Dufour, who recently earned team bronze and two individual silvers at the 2025 European Championship, showcased Freestyle’s exceptional balance of energy and relaxation, achieving a fault-free Freestyle routine despite a challenging floorplan.
The indoor competition atmosphere in Herning brought out extra sparkle and focus from the horses, with Laudrup-Dufour noting the difference in sound and energy compared to outdoor events.
