Carisa Kimbro, a 46-year-old Burleson resident and military veteran, has returned to horse riding and showing after deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. For her, riding is more than a hobby—it grounds her, reconnects her with her family roots, and provides a focused goal amid her busy life. She emphasizes the mental clarity and discipline required to work with horses, which helps her stay driven and purposeful.
Currently, Kimbro and her horse Frazier are preparing for the Fort Worth Stock Show and rodeo, where they previously won the amateur all-around title. While competition is important, Kimbro values the event’s broader mission of education and promoting Western heritage, praising Fort Worth for its quality and commitment to supporting these traditions.
