The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Thoroughbred Election Committee has announced its class of 2025, which includes Ivan Dalos, Marketing Mix, Perry Winters, Ghostzapper, Mike Doyle, and Storm Bird. The induction ceremony for inductees from Prince Edward Island, Ontario, and Alberta is scheduled for August 6, with details to be announced on May 1.
Ivan Dalos, the Builder inductee, has been a prominent figure in the Canadian Thoroughbred industry for nearly 50 years, establishing himself as a successful owner and breeder. Marketing Mix, the Female Horse inductee, had a successful career with over $2 million in earnings and multiple stakes victories. Perry Winters, the Jockey inductee, had a successful career with over 2,900 wins and more than 100 stakes victories.
Ghostzapper, the Male Horse inductee, achieved success in North American racing, winning the Breeders’ Cup Classic and being named Horse of the Year in 2004. Mike Doyle, the Trainer inductee, has trained numerous stakes winners and contributed to the success of various owners. Storm Bird, the Veteran inductee, had a successful racing career before becoming a sire of multiple stakes winners.
