Callie Mueller: From 4-H Roots to Miss Rodeo America Champion and Western Heritage Advocate

Callie Mueller, the reigning Miss rodeo America for 2025, is deeply passionate about preserving Western culture and rodeo heritage, which she views as a living connection to the Old West cowboy lifestyle. Growing up on a small farm in South Dakota and actively participating in 4-H programs, Mueller developed strong horsemanship skills and a work ethic grounded in animal care and goal-setting. Her journey through local rodeo queen titles and involvement with rodeo committees culminated in winning Miss rodeo South Dakota in 2024 and then the national Miss rodeo America title, allowing her to represent and promote rodeo and Western traditions nationwide.

Mueller also champions her platform, Faith Over Fear, inspired by her late friend Evie Kahnke, aiming to inspire others through faith and resilience. While her future plans remain open, including pursuing a master’s degree, she remains committed to supporting the Western industry and embracing whatever path lies ahead. Her story highlights the role of rodeo and 4-H in youth development, community camaraderie, and the preservation of Western heritage.
