Businessman Robert Heneghan, whose company Pro Sports Advice Ltd provides horse racing tips, is seeking a High Court injunction to stop Cork racing tipster Gearóid Norris from publishing allegedly defamatory online articles about him. Heneghan claims Norris has posted numerous abusive and defamatory statements since March 2025 across platforms like X, Substack, and TikTok, including a recent false article alleging Heneghan threatened to kill Norris and his family. Despite a cease and desist letter, Norris continued posting such material, prompting legal action.
Heneghan insists the threatening allegations are entirely false and damaging, and he has requested their immediate removal. Norris refused to remove the article or preserve any recording of the alleged phone call, instead publicly sharing the legal correspondence and asserting that “the truth will out.” The conflicting details in Norris’s posts cast doubt on the existence of any recording. The High Court has granted permission for expedited service of proceedings against Norris.
