The famous Budweiser Clydesdales will visit Eastern Idaho in early July with three scheduled events: a one-horse show and Folds of Honor check presentation at Melaleuca Field in Idaho Falls on July 3, a full eight-horse hitch at the Independence Day Parade in Pocatello on July 4, and another one-horse show at Fireside Grill in Ammon on July 5. These appearances are part of hundreds annually by three traveling teams based out of the St. Louis Brewery in Missouri.
Originally brought to the U.S. in the mid-1800s as draft horses, Clydesdales have been Anheuser-Busch’s mascot since 1933, symbolizing the brand at fairs, festivals, sporting events, and even presidential inaugurations. They can also be seen year-round at the Anheuser-Busch brewery and breeding farms in Missouri. Annie Pfinsgraff, vice president of Watkins Distributing, expressed pride in hosting the iconic horses, calling them true ambassadors of the Budweiser brand.
