Bucks County Sheriff’s Classic at Parx Racing Honors Law Enforcement and Supports Youth Programs

The inaugural Bucks County Sheriff’s Classic at Parx Racing celebrated local law enforcement with a dedicated race won by the horse Tunisian Spring. Sheriff Fred Harran presented the trophy, emphasizing the event as a public thank you to officers and deputies for their service. The event drew strong community support and highlighted the partnership with the Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (PTHA), which helped host the race and support the Police Athletic League (PAL).

A primary goal of the Classic was to raise awareness and funds for the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office PAL, a program fostering positive relationships between youth and law enforcement through sports. Sheriff Harran stressed that all proceeds would fund youth programs across the county to build trust and confidence with deputies. The success of the event promises it will become an annual tradition, strengthening community ties and support for local law enforcement.
