Bryan Dean Lee of rural North Platte passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2025. Born in 1959 in Grant, Nebraska, Bryan grew up on the family farm and excelled in woodworking, athletics, and agriculture. After marrying his high school sweetheart Chris in 1977, he began a 42-year career with Union Pacific Railroad while nurturing a deep passion for horses, which led to the establishment of Lee’s Quarter Horses. Bryan was a dedicated competitor in Ranch Horse Versatility shows, earning numerous championships and accolades, and was known for his meticulous horse training and breeding programs.
Beyond his equestrian achievements, Bryan was a committed coach and supporter of youth sports, especially wrestling and football in North Platte. His love for family was central to his life, marked by warmth, humor, and strong bonds with his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family. Bryan is survived by his wife Chris, daughters, grandchildren, siblings, and many friends. Services will be held in North Platte with a request for informal western attire, and memorials may be directed to North Platte Catholic Schools Endowment Trust or designated by the family later.
