Boissevain 4-H Zone Rally Brings Together Seven Clubs for Competition and Community Celebration

The Boissevain 4-H Zone Rally was held on Friday, featuring participation from seven 4-H clubs across the Southwest 4-H Area, including Archie Light Horse and Pony, Boissevain Beef, Boissevain Boots ‘n Bits, Boissevain Home & Hobby, Deloraine Community 4-Hers, Goodlands Variety, and Killarney Beef Club, which recently reorganized after a 12-year hiatus. The event also welcomed the Southwest Spurs & Saddles club, formerly Coulter Western Trail Riders, reflecting its expanded membership from multiple communities. Event MC April Willis expressed gratitude to all members, parents, and volunteer leaders for their dedication to the 4-H program’s hands-on learning philosophy.

Awards were given for the parade categories, with first and second place winners receiving $50 and $25 respectively. In the float category, Boissevain Beef took first place and Boissevain Home & Hobby second; in marching, Deloraine Community 4-Hers won first and Goodlands Variety second; and in equine, Boissevain Boots ‘n Bits earned first place with Southwest Spurs & Saddles in second. The event concluded with the recitation of the 4-H Pledge, emphasizing commitment to personal growth and community service.
