The Blazing Bridles 4-H Horse Club achieved remarkable success at the 2025 Kentucky 4-H State Horse Contest and Horse Show, earning a total of 98 top-ten ribbons—54 at the contest in Lexington and 44 at the show in Louisville. Members competed in various disciplines including horse judging, hippology, arts, and multiple riding divisions such as saddleseat, miniature, and walking/racking/mountain. Several club members earned state championships across categories, with notable winners including Ashlynn Allen, Katherine Rose Gibbons, Fionna Lawrence, and others excelling in both contest and show events.

Led by volunteers Melinda Martino and Leah Wilson since 2022, the club continues its long-standing tradition since 1969 of fostering leadership, creativity, and equestrian skills among youth in Kenton County. The program emphasizes not only competitive success but also personal growth, with leaders expressing pride in the members’ dedication and achievements. At the county level, Fionna Lawrence and Katherine Rose Gibbons also earned high point honors at the 2025 Kenton County Fair, underscoring the club’s strong local and state presence.
