At the ninth race meeting at Kuwait’s Hunting and Equestrian Club, the horse “Shaheen Al-Mughaira,” owned by Jaza’a Al-Azmi and trained by Iyad Al-Farmawi, won the Al-Safinat Stud Cup sponsored by Khaled Fahad bin Shukr. Bin Shukr presented the trophy alongside Sheikh Sabah Fahad Al-Nasser and received a commemorative shield in the presence of Alaa Al-Roumi. Other notable winners included “Hamoud Al-Khair,” which captured the National Company for Tracks Cup, and “Al-Fahd 2,” winner of the Hunting and Equestrian Club Cup, with several other horses securing victories in related trophy races.
Bin Shukr emphasized his dedication to supporting purebred Arabian horses of Egyptian bloodlines and highlighted the collective efforts of horse-riding enthusiasts to promote the sport. His initiative involved organizing 25 cups with total prize money exceeding KD 55,000, aimed at encouraging continued participation and excellence in equestrian sports. He also expressed gratitude to contributors and institutions like the Hunting and Equestrian Club and the Higher Authority for Horse Racing for their ongoing support.
