Bench Warrant Issued for Aaron McGarry After Failure to Appear for Sentencing in Flathead County

A bench warrant has been issued for Aaron Martin McGarry, 38, of Kalispell, after he failed to appear for sentencing in Flathead County District Court on October 30. McGarry faces felony assault charges for an incident on February 10, where he allegedly shifted his running vehicle into drive while deputies attempted to remove him, dragging them briefly before fleeing. Although police later apprehended him, he is currently at large with bail set at $100,000.

McGarry has a significant criminal history, including a 2022 standoff arrest in Kalispell that led to a three-year sentence for felony theft, and a 2020 conviction for criminal endangerment involving the use of a Taser on the mother of his children in Columbia Falls.
