Becky Moody made a remarkable debut at the Zen Elite FEI dressage World Cup Finals in Fort Worth, Texas, winning the title with her horse Jagerbomb. Competing for the first time in North America and after Jagerbomb’s first transcontinental flight, they topped the Grand Prix and delivered a stunning Grand Prix Freestyle performance set to Beatles music, earning a personal best score of 88.330%. The enthusiastic Texas crowd’s energy and standing ovations highlighted the celebratory atmosphere, with Moody praising the unique experience and her horse’s focus and strengths.
The competition saw strong performances from other riders as well, including Christian Simonson (USA) who finished second with Indian Rock, performing a “hero’s journey” freestyle inspired by the Rocky movies, and Sandra Sysojeva (POL) who took third with Maxima Bella. The event was marked by emotional moments, such as Morgan Barbancon’s farewell ride with her retiring horse Sir Donnerhall II OLD. Overall, the finals showcased high-level dressage artistry, challenging choreography, and a vibrant, supportive audience.
